Invitation: Webinar – Rizal in Daly City: A Monument of Our Migration Story
The Philippine Consulate is pleased to inform the community that the Dr. Jose Rizal Legacy International Foundation will host a webinar to celebrate the Filipino journey that turned Daly City into a home for many generations of Filipinos. The webinar will be held via Zoom on 20 May 2026, Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. (Pacific Time)
The webinar will feature storytellers, historians, and community leaders who will share how the city was shaped by the waves of migration and why the proposed installation of Rizal Monument at Serramonte Library marks an important chapter in the collective story.
Join Daly City Councilmembers Juslyn Manalo and Rod Daus-Magbual, along with Mr. MC Canlas, Ms. Perla Ibarrientos, and Dr. Agnes Alikpala, for a meaningful webinar exploring Filipino stories of migration. The discussion will be moderated by Atty. Elaine Bordeaux, Executive Director of the Dr. Jose Rizal Legacy International Foundation, as the panelists share personal experiences, community perspectives, and reflections on the Filipino immigrant journey.
