INVITATION: Opening of the Art Exhibit: “The Art of Belonging: Filipino Narratives in America” 8 June 2026
In celebration of the 128th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence and the 80th Anniversary of the Philippines-United States Diplomatic Relations, the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, in collaboration with Filipino Creatives International and US-based Filipino visual artists, invites everyone to the opening of the art exhibit titled “The Art of Belonging: Filipino Narratives in America”—to be held on 8 June 2026 (Monday), 5:00 p.m., at the Kalayaan Hall, Philippine Center, 447 Sutter Street, San Francisco, CA 94108.
The Art of Belonging: Filipino Narratives in America, running from 8-19 June 2026, is a group art exhibition featuring diverse multimedia artworks and photography that celebrate Filipino culture, heritage, and contemporary identity. Through a wide range of artistic expressions, the exhibit highlights the experiences, stories, and perspectives of Filipino artists in America.
