PH CONSUL GENERAL IN SF UPDATES ON TRAVELING TO THE PHILIPPINES IN ONLINE TALK

SAN FRANCISCO, 25 February 2021 — Philippine Consul General Neil Frank R. Ferrer participated in online talk show “Travelwise Talks,” which was broadcast live via https://be.live/ on Facebook on February 24, 2021 at 2PM (PST). Philippine Tourism Representative Soleil Tropicales also guested in the show.  

Consul General Ferrer discussed the resolution No. 97 of the Philippine COVID-19 Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF). He mentioned how IATF Resolution No. 97 allows former Filipinos or Balikbayans to travel to the Philippine, and what they should consider before making their travel plans. He also discussed the current requirements in traveling to the Philippines, as well as presented the process for arriving passengers in the country. 

Director Tropicales talked about Philippine destinations that are primed to make a comeback as domestic borders begin to reopen. 

The 30-minute talk show was hosted by Marielle Adriano Kabin of Travelwise International, a full-service luxury travel agency headquartered in Fort Washington, Maryland that specializes in bespoke travel experiences. Ms. Kabin was honored with the prestigious Top 30 Travel Advisors under 30 in 2017.  

The interview was followed by a Q&A portion where Consul General Ferrer and Director Tropicales addressed questions from the public, such as requirements for fully vaccinated travelers and duration of facility-based quarantine.
