PHILIPPINE CONSUL GENERAL IN SAN FRANCISCO CALLS ON VIETNAMESE CONSUL GENERAL

Newly arrived Consul General of the Philippines in San Francisco Neil Frank R. Ferrer called on Consul General of Vietnam in San Francisco Nguyen Trac Toan on 10 February 2021 virtually via Zoom.  

Consul General Nguyen assumed his position in 2019.  He had previously served as Deputy Director General of the Southeast Asia Department in the Vietnam MFA and as Deputy Chief of Mission in the Vietnamese Embassies in Phnom Penh and Canberra. 

Consul General Nguyen extended a warm welcome to the undersigned and looked forward to closer interactions in the future.  They discussed and shared updates concerning their consulates’ operations, as well as the COVID-19 situation as it affected their respective nationals.

Consul General Ferrer remarked, “The Philippine and Vietnamese Consulates General in San Francisco, both of which serve a sizable community in their areas of jurisdiction, shall continue collaborations and sharing of best practices in order to better serve our respective nationals.” /END
