PH CONSULATE JOINS LAUNCH OF CENTER FOR BUSINESS STUDIES AND INNOVATION IN ASIA-PACIFIC AT UNIVERSITY OF SAN FRANCISCO

The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco—represented by Deputy Consul General Raquel Solano, Vice Consul Adrian Baccay, and Trade Commissioner Celynne Layug of the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Silicon Valley—attended the official launch of the Center for Business Studies and Innovation in Asia-Pacific of the University of San Francisco (USF CBSI-AP) on 29 September 2022. NBC Bay Area reporter Ginger Conejero-Saab hosted the event.

USF CBSI-AP’s Filipino American Assistant Director Prof. Vivian Faustino-Pulliam expressed her openness to work for programs and projects that will promote entrepreneurship within the Filipino American Community. She played a key role in the establishment of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at City College of San Francisco (CCSF), which seeks to provide non-traditional learners with access to entrepreneurship education.

For its inaugural webinar in November 2022, the USF CBSI-AP will feature unicorn startup companies in Southeast Asia, including a Philippine fintech unicorn. (San Francisco PCG photos)
