PH Consulate in SF to Hold Consular Outreach in Oregon
28 August 2021
A team from the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco will conduct consular outreach services for Filipinos and Filipino-American communities in Oregon and surrounding areas on 8-11 September 2021 at the St. Cecilia Church Parish Center located at 5105 SW Franklin Ave, Beaverton, OR.
Passport, dual citizenship, civil registry, and notarial and legal services will be provided during the 4-day outreach. These consular services may be availed of by appointment through the appointment site tinyurl.com/PCGSFoutreach. Appointment slots for the outreach will be opened at 9 a.m. on September 1.
Registration services for the Overseas Absentee Voting (OAV) for the 2022 Philippine National Elections will also be available during the outreach. For OAV registration, applicants do not need an appointment. They cannot, however, obtain consular services unless they have the required appointments for such services.
Applicants are advised to visit the Consulate’s website to check the requirements for the services they wish to obtain and to be ready with them when they proceed to the outreach venue on their scheduled date and time.
As part of the Consulate’s collaboration with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines- Northern California (IBP-NorCal) chapter, legal consultation services on immigration matters will also be provided from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on September 11 by a representative of the professional legal organization. No appointment is necessary for those seeking such service.
To protect public health and safety, applicants are required to always wear masks or face coverings while inside the premises of the venue, observe social distancing, use hand sanitizers to disinfect themselves, and only come to the venue 15 minutes prior to their appointment. For information on CDC Mask Guide, please visit https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/about-face-coverings.html. To avoid crowding, only the consular applicants, with the exception of those assisting the elderly and the disabled, will be allowed to enter the venue.
The outreach in Beaverton is the latest in a series of consular outreach activities which the Consulate has been conducting since June of this year. Previous consular outreach events have been held in Denver, Juneau, Fairbanks, Seattle, Salt Lake City, and Anchorage.
The consular outreach program aims at addressing the consular needs of Filipinos and Filipino Americans residing in areas that are distantly located from San Francisco and are unable to travel to the Consulate to obtain the services that they need. –END
