MOU Signing Between the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco and Dynamico Space

MOU SIGNING BETWEEN THE PHILIPPINE CONSULATE GENERAL IN SAN FRANCISCO AND DYNAMICO SPACE

The Philippine Startup Ecosystem is thriving and we continue to build bridges with Silicon Valley.

With the objective of promoting the Philippine startup industry and connect it to the startup ecosystem in Silicon Valley for possible collaboration in the areas of training, mentorship, financing, and networking, a Memorandum of Understanding shall be signed on June 30 between the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco and Dynamico Space, to formalize their public-private partnership.  The event shall be participated in by Philippine Consul General in San Francisco Neil Frank Ferrer, Philippine Department of Trade and Industry Undersecretary Rafaelita Aldaba, Dynamico Mentor Jessica Tsoong of Apple, and GlobalSF Executive Director Darlene Chiu-Bryant.

Located at the third floor of the Philippine Center at 447 Sutter Street in San Francisco, Dynamico Space serves as a community and networking hub for entrepreneurs and offers access to mentorship from Silicon Valley founders and technology leaders.  With a floor area of 10,000 square feet (930 square meters), it consists of private conference rooms and individual workspaces.  It shall also host events on a regular basis in order to provide networking opportunities for those availing of the space.

With the recent passage of the Philippine Innovative Startup Act, which seeks to promote the Philippine startup industry, the Consulate and Dynamico Space shall jointly coordinate to assist Philippine startups gain exposure to the United States, and for U.S. startups to expand their market to the Philippines and the rest of Southeast Asia.
