SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA – As part of the celebration of 2026 Filipino Food Month in April and in line with its cultural and public diplomacy initiatives, the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco partnered with four (4) Filipino restaurants across the San Francisco Bay Area to showcase Philippine cuisine and culinary creativity through a social media campaign.
Featured across the Consulate’s social media accounts are Parekoy Lutong Pinoy, in San Leandro (East Bay), Inda+Mely and Patio Filipino in San Bruno (San Francisco Peninsula), and Kusina ni Tess in the City of San Francisco. Since opening their doors to the public, these establishments have continued to champion the rich and vibrant Filipino culinary heritage—whether by offering traditional Filipino cuisine or by elevating classic dishes through creative and innovative approaches.
In cooperation with the Philippine Trade and Investment Center-Silicon Valley, Philippine Department of Tourism Office-San Francisco, Filipino Food Movement, and media and content creator Harry Ebio of FILAMSTREAM, the Filipino Food Month mini-series may be viewed on the Consulate’s Facebook and Instagram accounts, showcasing the richness, diversity, and evolving creativity of Filipino culinary traditions. The Consulate will continue to promote Filipino restaurants across its jurisdiction that help preserve and elevate the country’s culinary heritage.
The Filipino American community is encouraged to support Filipino restaurants, food products, and small- and medium-scale Filipino American food businesses, while helping promote Philippine culture through food.END
