San Francisco, CA – The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco reaffirmed its partnerships with both federal and local counterparts that underscored continuing collaboration on matters vital to the Filipino community, including cultural engagement, public‑service coordination, and broader Philippine‑U.S. relations. The discussions highlighted shared priorities and opportunities to strengthen cooperation across multiple levels of government.
In its meeting with the U.S. Department of State Office of Foreign Missions (OFM) on 29 April, the Consulate emphasized the importance of sustained coordination on areas of mutual interest, particularly as the Philippines marks significant milestones such as its ASEAN Chairmanship and the 80th anniversary of Philippine‑U.S. relations. The exchange reaffirmed ongoing cooperation and the commitment of both sides to maintain close and effective engagement.
A separate discussion with the San Francisco Mayor’s Office of Protocol on 28 April focused on strengthening collaboration with the City, especially in cultural programming, community relations, and support for the Filipino community across the Bay Area. The meeting also highlighted shared priorities in economic engagement, public‑service initiatives, and the continued development of sister‑city relations between Manila and San Francisco. Together, these engagements reflect a unified effort to deepen institutional partnerships and advance initiatives that benefit the Filipino community while reinforcing the longstanding cultural and economic ties between the Philippines and the United States.
