Sentro Rizal SF Showcased at NBC’S “California Live” Feature For Filipino American History Month

SENTRO RIZAL SF SHOWCASED AT NBC’S “CALIFORNIA LIVE” FEATURE FOR FILIPINO AMERICAN HISTORY MONTH

Sentro Rizal, the hub for Philippine arts and culture of the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, hosted the live feature of the NBC program “California Live” for Filipino American History Month on 4 October 2023.

In his interview by Fil-Am NBC correspondent Jobeth Devera, Filipino American Arts Exposition (FAAE) President Al Perez highlighted the positive impact of Filipinos in American history and society, and the need to celebrate their contributions and accomplishments. The Kariktan Dance Company, led by its Artistic Director Robbie Herrera, gave American viewers a glimpse of Filipino culture through their spirited take on the tinikling folk dance.

“California Live” is seen Mondays through Fridays statewide on NBC’s local TV channels in California, including the Bay Area and Los Angeles Area, and worldwide via the websites of NBC affiliates in the state. (San Francisco PCG photos)
