WALNUT CREEK, CALIFORNIA – The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco attended the opening concert of the Golden Gate International Festival 2026 at the Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church on 13 July 2026, demonstrating its support for the Young Voices of the Philippines and other youth choirs from around the world participating in the international choral gathering.
The sing-off concert marked the start of the festival’s program and featured performances by participating choirs, providing a platform for young singers to showcase their talent while promoting cultural exchange and international friendship through music. Sharing their music and culture are choirs from the Philippines, Austria, Catalonia, Czechia, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Poland, and the United States.
The Young Voices of the Philippines as guest choir of the festival, performed Mga Katutubong Awitin under the baton of Dr. Maria Theresa Vizconde-Roldan. Their performance highlighted the richness of Filipino musical artistry and provided an opportunity for the choir to represent the Philippines before an international audience.
