UP’s ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE PROGRAM EXPLORES POSSIBLE RESEARCH PARTNERSHIP WITH SRI INTERNATIONAL

Dr. Eugene Rex L. Jalao and the Philippine Consulate in San Francisco connect with SRI Internationals’ AI Experts Ms. Karen L. Myers, Dr. Melinda Gervasio, Mr. Roland Stephens, to glean best practices and insights on AI research and development.

The meeting gave an overview about SRI International’s history and nature of work and explored possible collaborative research in guiding UP to determine the precise needs and specification of creating the AI Center.

SRI International is an independent, mission-driven, nonprofit research and development institute. Founded in 1946 as Stanford Research Institute, and became independent in 1970. SRI International with its 1,500 researchers and professional staff works with government and commercial clients and collaborators in the field of Advanced Technology & Systems (ATSD), Biosciences (BSD), Education, Information and Computing Sciences (ICS), and Integrated Systems & Solutions (InSys).
