SFPCG DISCUSSES VARIOUS TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION INITIATIVES WITH DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (DOST)

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA, USA – The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco welcomed officials from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) last 11 October 2024.

The Consulate discussed possible ways to assist DOST in collaborating and leveraging on the resources, talent, and investment of the Bay Area, a critical hub for global innovation and technological advancement.

Consul General Neil Frank R. Ferrer has expressed assurances that the Consulate will support DOST’s various initiatives and will work on connecting DOST with possible partners and industry leaders that could help advance the Philippines’ technology and innovation initiatives. END

SFPCG and DOST discuss possible areas of collaboration and organizing possible activities that could link DOST with startups and innovators from the Bay Area. SFPCG brainstormed strategies with DOST that could possibly nurture the Philippine startup ecosystem and forward the Philippines’ drive to develop and adopt AI and deep tech.
