San Francisco, 20 May 2022 – The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Silicon Valley, together with Dynamico Space, have partnered with 1Export (https://1export.com) to showcase products from the Philippines, encouraging more Fil-Am entrepreneurs and grocery platforms such as Weee Filipino and Filiflavors to discover innovative products from the Philippines.

On 16 May 2022, 1Export launched “Kalocal,” a platform from which Fil-Ams can order export-ready Filipino products at wholesale prices. The platform aims to help Filipinos in the U.S. start their own businesses by importing and reselling products directly from local producers and manufacturers offered at competitive prices.

“The Fil-Am diaspora serves as a bridge between the Philippines and U.S. communities,” said Consul General in San Francisco Neil Ferrer. He also highlighted the Consulate and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Silicon Valley’s partnership with Dynamico Space in bridging Philippine and U.S. startups.

With a hybrid format, an in-person “salu-salo” was organized in San Francisco, while participants from the Philippines and other U.S. States joined via ZOOM.
