Philippine Consulate Supports West Bay’s 57th Anniversary Fundraiser

PHILIPPINE CONSULATE SUPPORTS WEST BAY’S 57TH ANNIVERSARY FUNDRAISER

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA – The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco attended the 57th Anniversary Fundraiser of West Bay Pilipino Multi-Service Center (West Bay) held on 24 September 2025 at the Executive Order Bar and Lounge in San Francisco.

West Bay, which was first established in 1968, holds a special place in the history of the Filipino American community in the Bay Area. As the oldest nonprofit corporation serving our kababayan in Northern California, it has been providing dedicated service to the Filipino American Community through its programs geared towards uplifting the youth, seniors and families in the South of Market (SoMa) neighborhood.

Deputy Consul General Maria Paz G. Cortes, accompanied by Cultural Officer Anne Maris Estoya, conveyed the Consulate’s warm congratulations on its 57th year anniversary to Executive Director Carla Laurel of West Bay and commended her and the entire organization for its positive impact on the community. 

A number of elected officials, including Board of Supervisors member Matt Dorsey, and Fil-Am community leaders also showed support for West Bay during the event. END
