PHILIPPINE CONSULATE MEETS DELEGATES OF PCCI-PUBC TRADE MISSION 2024

San Francisco, CA– Philippine Consul General Neil Frank Ferrer welcomed a delegation from the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) and the Philippines-US Business Council (PUBC) on 4 June 2024 at the Philippine Consulate General. The delegation, participating in the PCCI-PUBC US Trade Mission 2024, is visiting San Francisco on 1-6 June 2024 to explore collaboration and business opportunities with US counterparts.

The meeting focused on strengthening economic ties between chambers of commerce in the Philippines and the United States. The PCCI delegation presented their mission objectives, which include: (1) Building partnerships with US businesses, chambers of commerce, and trade offices, (2) Facilitating knowledge exchange and educational opportunities, (3) Promoting Philippine businesses and their offerings, and (4) Identifying innovative technologies and practices applicable to their businesses.

Consul General Ferrer highlighted that now is the opportune time for businesses in the Philippines because of the strong relationship between the Philippines and the US, fostered by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s recent visits and participation in joint summits in the US. Consul General Ferrer also emphasized the importance of trade, investment, security, and people-to-people connections, particularly through sister-city relationships.

“Business missions like the PCCI-PUBC US Trade Mission 2024 are invaluable in fostering collaboration and promoting economic growth,” said Consul General Ferrer. “The Consulate General will continue to support initiatives that strengthen economic ties between the Philippines and the United States.”

The delegation was accompanied by members of the San Francisco Filipino American Chamber of Commerce (SFFACC) and the San Francisco-Manila Sister City Committee.
