Philippine Consulate Joins the Filipino American Community in Celebrating the 11th Kasayahan sa Daly

PHILIPPINE CONSULATE JOINS THE FILIPINO AMERICAN COMMUNITY IN CELEBRATING THE 11th KASAYAHAN SA DALY CITY

DALY CITY, CA – Representatives of the Philippine Consulate General joined the Filipino American Community in Daly City as it celebrated Filipino American History Month through the 11th Kasayahan sa Daly City held at Gellert Park, Daly City on 4 October 2025.

Delivering the special congratulatory message on behalf of Consul General Neil Frank Ferrer, Deputy Consul General Maria Paz Cortes underscored the significance of the event as a celebration of Philippine heritage, culture, and community spirit, as well as a recognition of the shared history between the Philippines and the United States. She also conveyed her gratitude to the Daly City Government, led by Mayor Rod Daus-Magbual, for its consistent engagement with all sectors of the community and for championing programs that promote diversity and inclusivity.

The festive Kasayahan sa Daly City featured an array of cultural and musical performances, both traditional and contemporary, Filipino food vendors, a community market for local businesses selling handmade crafts and Filipino products and a family fun zone for family-friendly activities which catered to varied interests of attendees.

Filipino American History Month is celebrated every October through various activities organized by the Filipino American community across the United States, highlighting the rich history, contributions, and cultural heritage of Filipino Americans.END
