Philippine Consulate Joins TechEquity AI Summit 2025

SUNNYVALE, CALIFORNIA – The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, represented by Deputy Consul General Maria Paz Cortes, Consul Marc Theodore Benigno and Economic Assistant Danica Vismonte, joined the TechEquity AI Summit 2025 held on 7-8 November at the Plug and Play Tech Center in Sunnyvale, California. Organized by TechEquity AI, a nonprofit dedicated to democratizing access to artificial intelligence, the hybrid summit convened around 2,000 participants from diverse sectors.

Key discussions spanned national AI strategy, robotics, industrial automation, public safety, and data governance. Highlighted themes included the strategic importance of sovereign AI, the rise of agentic and physical AI for industry transformation, inclusive innovation, and the growing need for trust-centered AI frameworks. Notable speakers included Keith Strier of AMD, Kathi Vidal, former Director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and experts from Nvidia, Plug and Play, and leading AI ventures.
