SUNNYVALE, CALIFORNIA – The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco participated in the official launch of Plug and Play’s operations in Cambodia, held on 27 May 2025 at the Plug and Play Tech Center in Sunnyvale, California.

Consul Rowena Pangilinan-Daquipil and Trade Commissioner Anne Marie Kristine Umali represented the Consulate at the event, which marked the beginning of a strategic partnership between Plug and Play, the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications of Cambodia (MPTC), and the American University of Phnom Penh Technology Center (ATC).

The partnership will provide Cambodian startups with access to Plug and Play’s global network of investors, mentors, and corporate partners, and is designed to support the country’s goal of becoming a regional hub for digital innovation. MPTC is the founding anchor partner of the program, while ATC will lead local implementation through events, training, and mentorship initiatives.

The Consulate views this development as a valuable reference point for ongoing efforts to strengthen innovation-driven partnerships in Southeast Asia. END
