PHILIPPINE CONSULATE IN SAN FRANCISCO MEETS FOUNDER OF THE FILIPINO CULTURE AND LANGUAGE CLUB IN THE UNIVERSITY OF NEVADA IN RENO

Reno, Nevada – Consul Jed Llona hands a Certificate of Recognition to the Filipino Culture and Language Club founder and Filipino American Gavin Fisher for the club’s exemplary service in promoting Philippine history and culture to the students of the University of Nevada in Reno (UNR).
FCLC holds various activities and programs since its founding in 2022, and reaches out to Filipinos, Filipino Americans, and other Asian American communities within UNR. It offers Filipino language classes, tinikling dance lessons, as well as organizes a number of cultural gatherings, like the Filipino Festival.
The Consulate encouraged FCLC to continue its advocacy and to further broaden its reach, and expressed its readiness to support the Club in its endeavors.
