Consul General Neil Frank R. Ferrer leads the Philippine Consulate’s commemoration of the  2025 Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month

The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco marked a month-long observance of the 2025 Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANAMo) during its flag-raising ceremony on 02 September 2025.

By virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 316, the month of September each year is designated as the Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANAMo).

MANAMo is essential for promoting a comprehensive understanding of the Philippines’ maritime heritage, challenges, and opportunities. By fostering a sense of responsibility and pride in its maritime identity, the nation can work towards sustainable and inclusive development of its maritime resources for the benefit of its people and the international community.
