PHILIPPINE CONSULATE IN SAN FRANCISCO AND HONORARY CONSULS UNDER ITS JURISDICTION CONVENE A PLANNING MEETING

SAN FRANCISCO – The Philippine Consul General in San Francisco, Neil Frank R. Ferrer convened a planning meeting with the Honorary Consuls of Colorado, Oregon, and Alaska on 5 February 2025, to present their 2024 accomplishments and lay out the work plan and priorities for this year.
The planning meeting was attended by Honorary Consul in Colorado Donna LaVigne, Honorary Consul in Oregon Enrico Tadeo, and Honorary Consul in Alaska Evelyn Abello, with the officers of the Philippine Consulate in San Francisco, the Philippine Trade and Investment Center-Silicon Valley, and the Philippine Department of Tourism-San Francisco. Ms. Macy Maglanque, Labor Attaché and head of the Migrant Workers Office in Los Angeles attended the meeting virtually.
Honorary Consul LaVigne and Honorary Consul Tadeo presented their accomplishments for 2024 along with their workplans for 2025. Honorary Consul Abello, having been newly appointed as Honorary Consul in Alaska, presented priority areas to focus on and the work plan for the year ahead.
In his message, Consul General Ferrer underscored the importance of providing timely consular services to the Filipino communities; in advancing the interests of the Philippines in terms of trade, investment, and tourism; and in enhancing the relationship between the Philippines and the United States through engagements with the local and federal officials and the various Filipino-American community organizations in the respective areas the Honorary Consuls cover.
