Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco Meets Filipino American Organization from the East Bay

San Francisco, California – The Philippine Consulate in San Francisco warmly received the officers of the Filipino Americans of Contra Costa County Inc. (FACCC) during their call at the Consulate on 15 January 2026.
The FACCC officers provided an overview of their organization, including its establishment and current membership profile. FACCC President, Mr. Filipino Obmerga conveyed the organization’s intent to strengthen engagement with the Consulate and to revive and expand its membership base. Deputy Consul General Maria Paz G. Cortes expressed the Consulate’s willingness to support FACCC and proposed possible collaborative initiatives aimed at generating greater community interest and participation. These include lectures, talks, exhibits, and other joint activities that FACCC may undertake in partnership with the Consulate. She also encouraged FACCC to register with the Consulate’s Filipino Community Directory to ensure timely updates and coordination, and to follow the Consulate’s official social media platforms to remain informed of upcoming programs and activities.
Other officers of the FACCC who were present during the call were Mr. Jaime Saclayan, Ms. Victoria Bautista, and Mr. Romeo Sarrenzana. Deputy Consul General Cortes was also joined by Consul Rowena Pangilinan-Daquipil, Vice Consul Glaiza Quarteros, and Cultural Officer Anne Maris Estoya.
FACCC is a non-profit organization which was incorporated in December 1975. Aside from their aim to initiate programs to preserve Philippine heritage, they aim to provide counseling on immigration and naturalization and to actively involve members in community works, among other programs.
The Philippine Consulate encourages all active Filipino and Filipino American organizations and businesses within its jurisdiction to register or update their information with the Consulate to facilitate coordination and possible collaboration on future activities. The Consulate likewise invites these organizations and businesses to subscribe to its monthly newsletters to receive timely updates and announcements on programs and initiatives.END
