PHILIPPINE CONSULATE GENERAL IN SAN FRANCISCO HOLDS SPECIAL SATURDAY OVERSEAS VOTING REGISTRATION

SAN FRANCISCO, 29 September 2021 – To enable more Filipinos who wish to register for overseas voting in the 2022 national elections, the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco held a special Saturday overseas voting registration on 25 September.

More than 80 Filipinos registered for overseas voting while 80 renewed their passports and 37 reacquired their Philippine citizenship on even date.

In Bozeman, Montana, where the Consulate had a consular outreach mission on the same day, a total of 268 Filipinos registered for overseas voting.

“With the extension of the overseas registration deadline until 14 October 2021, we encourage our kababayans to register at the Consulate General on Sutter St. in San Francisco on Mondays through Fridays from 9 AM to 5 PM and exercise their constitutional right to vote in 2022,” Consul General Neil Frank R. Ferrer said.

The Consulate will also open on 9 October 2021, a Saturday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, for another special registration day.
