Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco Commemorates the 80th Anniversary of the Signing of the UN Charter

PHILIPPINE CONSULATE GENERAL IN SAN FRANCISCO COMMEMORATES THE 80TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE SIGNING OF THE UN CHARTER

In commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the signing of the United Nations Charter on 26 June 2025, the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco visited the Herbst Theatre, where the United Nations Charter was signed on 26 June 1945 by the 50 founding members of the UN, including the Philippines, during the United Nations Conference on International Organization, or the San Francisco Conference, held from 25 April to 26 June 1945.

The Philippine Consulate also participated in a webinar titled, Charter Reform and the Summit of the Future, hosted by the United Nations Associations of the United States of America-San Francisco Chapter, where relevant issues and developments on the UN Charter were discussed. The webinar featured a panel discussion where speakers talked about initiatives and advocacies that aim to bring reforms to the United Nations. END
