Philippine Consulate General Graces the Induction Ceremony of New Officer of the Philippine Medical Society of Northern California (PMSNC)

PHILIPPINE CONSULATE GENERAL GRACES THE INDUCTION CEREMONY OF NEW OFFICERS OF THE PHILIPPINE MEDICAL SOCIETY OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA (PMSNC)

FOSTER CITY, CALIFORNIA  – On 17 May 2025, Consul General Neil Frank R. Ferrer conducted the swearing-in ceremony of the new officers of the Philippine Medical Society of Northern California (PMSNC) at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Foster City, California. 

The PMNSC, founded in 1972, is a non-profit organization consisting of volunteer Filipino-American medical practitioners from the San Francisco Bay Area and surrounding areas aiming to unite and promote closer personal and professional ties among its members and other medical societies and to provide medical assistance to the elderly and indigent Filipino-Americans as well as other minority groups in the US and support medical missions.

In his remarks, Consul General Ferrer congratulated the PMNSC on their 53rd anniversary celebration and its outgoing officials led by President Dr. Mark Gonzalgo and expressed best wishes to the incoming President Dr. Luigi Borillo and the new set of officers. He emphasized that, for over five decades, PMNSC has exemplified the highest standards of excellence and service. He further commended the organization, stating that “Your unwavering commitment to ensure that Filipino American doctors have a seat at the table in the U.S. and California medical community and your tireless efforts to extend care and compassion to the underserved both here in the United States and in the Philippines stand as a powerful testament to your mission and values.”

The proceeds of the donations from PMNSC members, sponsors, and partners during the gala will be used to support its medical missions and scholarship funds. PMNSC’s next event, Bayanihan para sa Kalusugan: Unity in Wellness is scheduled on 28 June 2025 at the St. Albert the Great in Alameda, California. END
