31 August 2026 – The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco called on the Colma Mayor and the Town Council on 27 August 2026 to explore new avenues and opportunities for cooperation and community collaboration.

The meeting emphasized the importance of maintaining consistent engagement between the Philippine Consulate and the vibrant Filipino American community in Colma, California. It also highlighted the importance of preserving Filipino culture and strengthening cultural awareness among Filipino American children. Both the Consulate and the Town Council of Colma emphasized a shared commitment to keeping the Filipino heritage alive. The Consulate stands fully ready to support upcoming community activities, cultural initiatives, and local events throughout the Town of Colma. END
