Philippine Consul General in SF Neil Ferrer Visits U.S. Coast Guard Sector SF

SAN FRANCISCO – Philippine Consul General in San Francisco Neil Frank R. Ferrer met with the United States Coast Guard Sector San Francisco Commander, Capt. Taylor Lam during his visit to the sector on 26 May 2022.

Consul General Ferrer and Capt. Lam discussed the strong partnership between the Philippine Coast Guard and the US Coast Guard, as seen in a number of bilateral maritime operations exercises and trainings. Capt. Lam and his team gave Consul General Ferrer a presentation on the work of the USCG Sector SF and a tour of its headquarters on Yerba Buena Island.  

“The Philippine Coast Guard conveys its gratitude to the U.S. Coast Guard for the strong partnership between the two entities, as well as support for the Philippine Coast Guard on areas such as maritime security and enhancing interoperability, ” Consul General Ferrer said.

“We look forward to the further strengthening of the relations and cooperation between our two coast guards,” Capt. Lam said.

Consul General Ferrer also met with the Deputy Commander of USCG Sector SF, Filipino American Capt. Jordan Baldueza, as well as other officers of the sector. Consul Vanessa Bago-Llona, and Vice Consul Adrian Baccay joined the Consul General in the visit.  END
