PHILIPPINE CONSUL GENERAL IN SAN FRANCISCO PARTICIPATES IN SMALL BUSINESS AWARDS AND MIXER FOR FILIPINO-AMERICAN BUSINESSES

Philippine Consul General in San Francisco Neil Frank R. Ferrer attended the San Francisco Filipino American Chamber of Commerce’s (SFFACC) Small Business Awards and Mixer at the Kapwa Gardens in San Francisco on 20 May 2021. The event was attended by Filipino-American business owners, community leaders, media, and other guests.
SFFACC is a non-profit organization which seeks to promote the economic development of the Filipino American business community in the San Francisco Bay Area. The event was also supported by Kultivate Labs, a non-profit business accelerator based in SOMA Pilipinas, the Philippine cultural district in San Francisco.
The program featured the awarding of SFFACC’s Community Resilience Award to Mr. Jason Angeles and Mr. Ronnie Taylor for their project “Filipinos Feed the Frontlines,” which provides meals to seniors residing in at-risk and vulnerable communities. In view of the success of the project, Mr. Angeles and Mr. Taylor are now supporting more individuals and businesses thrive during the pandemic.

During the event, Consul General Ferrer delivered remarks on the importance of supporting Filipino small businesses, especially at this time. He also congratulated Mr. Angeles and Mr. Taylor for their work, noting that they demonstrate the spirit of bayanihan, with the community coming together to help those in need. / END
