PHILIPPINE CONSUL GENERAL IN SAN FRANCISCO GUESTS IN GLOBALSF’S PODCAST
Philippine Consul General in San Francisco Neil Frank R. Ferrer was featured in the podcast of GlobalSF (GlobalSF: So Future) on 24 June 2021. The podcast interview was conducted by GlobalSF’s Executive Director Darlene Chiu-Bryant.
GlobalSF is a non-profit organization that assists international businesses thrive in San Francisco. It facilitates trade and investments through its global access to governments, businesses, cultural and educational communities. GlobalSF produces the weekly podcast “GlobalSF: So Future,” every Friday to discuss relevant issues in San Francisco’s business community. Its primary audiences are San Francisco businesses engaged globally and international companies doing business in San Francisco.
During the podcast, Consul General Ferrer provided updates on the Philippine Consulate’s consular services and its engagements with the Filipino community, local officials, businesses and other organizations in its jurisdiction.
He said that this year, the Philippines is celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with the United States, noting that the enduring friendship between the two countries is built upon the strength of its people-to-people relations.
He shared the Consulate’s economic engagements that will expand trade, investments, tourism and other business opportunities between the Philippines and the U.S. In particular, he highlighted the Consulate’s public-private partnership with Dynamico Space, which shall assist in the promotion of Philippine Startups and building bridges with the startup ecosystem here in Silicon Valley. In addition, he promoted the Philippines’ newest investment campaign, entitled “Make it Happen in the Philippines,” which provides a one-stop-shop for those interested in doing business in the Philippine
