PH CONSULATE KEYNOTES PHILIPPINE INSTITUTE OF CIVIL ENGINEERS – USA CHAPTER’S 7TH ANNIVERSARY AND GENERAL ASSEMBLY

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA, USA – Consul Rowena Pangilinan-Daquipil, on behalf of the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, delivered a keynote address during the Anniversary and General Assembly of the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc, (PICE) – USA Chapter on 14 December 2024 at the Embassy Suites, South San Francisco, California.
In her speech, Consul Pangilinan-Daquipil welcomed the attendees, who came from different parts of the United States, to the Bay Area. She lauded the leadership and members of the PICE-USA Chapter for their steadfast growth and achievements since their founding in 2017 and its incorporation in the Nevada state as a 501c6 non-profit organization. She congratulated the professional group for ensuring that its members are abreast with latest information in their field through its regular technical presentations, and more importantly for giving back to the motherland through its regular technical presentations, and more importantly for giving back to the motherland through its scholarship program and its donation towards construction of a multi purpose kiosk in Bangbangalon Elementary School in Boac, Marinduque.
The PICE-US Chapter was formed following its petition to PICE National Headquarters in 2017. By October 28, 2017, the PICE-USA Chapter was recognized as a PICE International Chapter and granted the PICE International Chapter Charter No. I-11. Since then, the group has expanded its membership through outreach efforts, and regularly conducted various learning opportunities to enable its members to access cutting-edge technologies, gain insights from industry leaders, and sharpen their technical skills.
