The Philippine Consulate General, represented by Vice Consul Hannah Go, proudly joined the Santacruzan 2025 celebration of St. Augustine Church in South San Francisco on 31 May 2025. The event featured a solemn mass, a traditional procession around the church grounds, the crowning of sagalas or reinas, and a public reception at the parish hall.
Vice Consul Go was given the distinct honor of crowning the Reina de Esperanza, in keeping with the cherished Filipino tradition that blends faith, community, and culture.
The event also served as a fundraising initiative for the planned improvement of the parish hall, successfully raising $150,000 through the generosity and support of the Filipino-American community and parishioners.
The Santacruzan stands as a meaningful reminder of how Filipinos continue to uphold and celebrate their rich cultural and religious heritage—even while far from home—fostering unity and identity within the diaspora.
