“In my first Filipino Heritage Night with the Oakland A’s, I am pleased to see our kababayans come together and take pride in both their Filipino heritage and the team’s Oakland roots,” Consul General Ferrer said. Cultural dance group Mabuhay Folkloric Society and Filipino American artists DJ Auxcord & DJ Jaymee Baaby headlined the pre-game party at the Oakland Coliseum’s Championship Plaza, while Fil-Am rapper P-Lo threw the ceremonial first pitch prior to

the game. Fil-Am food trucks Señor Sisig and Marley’s Treats served Filipino fusion street food to Oakland A’s fans.
