PH CONSULATE IN SF SHOWS SUPPORT FOR “KABABAYAN HEALTH DAY” IN SAN JOSE

Deputy Consul General Raquel Solano represented the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco in the “Kababayan Health Day” Community Outreach of the Philippine Medical Society of Northern California (PMSNC), held at the Filipino Community Center of Santa Clara County in San Jose, California on 29 October 2022.

In her remarks, Deputy Consul General Solano paid tribute to the Filipino American medical and healthcare community. “The American healthcare system has long relied on Filipino and Filipino American doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers to fight on the front lines… You continue to be very much sought after in this country because of your professionalism at work, natural empathy, and selfless dedication for the sick and especially for those who have less,” Deputy Consul General Solano said.

Free health activities were offered during the day-long event, such as free medical screenings on blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol levels, workshops on dental health, and information on health insurance and vaccination resources.
