PH CONSULATE IN SF RETURNS TO RENO, NEVADA FOR CONSULAR OUTREACH, DELIVERS 580 SERVICES

RENO, NEVADA, USA – The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco organized a two-day consular outreach in Reno, Nevada from 17 to 18 May 2024 at the SureStay Plus by Best Western Reno Airport.

Led by Consul Jed Llona, the consular outreach in Reno afforded Filipinos and Filipino Americans passport, dual citizenship, and overseas voting registration services without having to travel to San Francisco.  Applicants from throughout Nevada and other states, including California, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Utah, availed of services during the outreach.

A total of 580 services were provided, including 176 passport applications, 212 dual citizenship petitions, and 154 overseas voting registrations.

During the outreach, a team from the Wage and Hour Division of the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) provided information on employment-related laws and policies during the dual citizenship oath-taking ceremonies. The U.S. DOL also set up a table where outreach applicants inquired about specific concerns.

The outreach was held with the support of the Filipino American Alliance of Northern Nevada (FAAN).

The consular outreach in Reno is the fourth one spearheaded by the Consulate in 2024.  Filipinos residing under the Consulate’s jurisdiction may visit the Consulate’s official website for details on succeeding outreach missions. END
