PH Consulate in SF, PTIC Silicon Valley Team Up with “Tax Whiz of PH” in Investment and Tax Briefing

SAN FRANCISCO, USA – The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) in Silicon Valley have partnered with Mon Abrea, the “Tax Whiz of the Philippines,” for a briefing on business and investment opportunities on 12 January 2022 at Dynamico Space, 447 Sutter Street in San Francisco.

According to Philippine Consul General in San Francisco Neil Frank R. Ferrer, the Investment and Tax Briefing is “the opening salvo of the Consulate’s economic team for 2022, designed for companies and professionals who are looking to establish or expand their presence in the Philippines.”

“The Philippines remains on track in its recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. I encourage everyone, especially those who are considering setting up their business in the Philippines, to take part in the investment and tax briefing,” said Consul General Ferrer, who will also join the tax and investment briefing that feature top Philippine officials Philippine Trade and Industry Secretary Ramon Lopez, Anti-Red Tape Authority Director-General Jeremiah Belgica, and Philippine Ambassador to the United States Jose Manuel Romualdez.

Abrea, who serves as Chairman and CEO of Asian Consulting Group and Co-Chair of Ease of Doing Business – Task Force on Paying Taxes in the Philippines, will provide a comprehensive discussion of the investment opportunities, ease of doing business, and the Comprehensive Tax Reform Program in the Philippines. The tax regime for Filipino dual citizens who are engaged in businesses in the Philippines will also be discussed.
