PH CONSULATE IN SF MEETS ZIPLINE, INC.

Officials of the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco led by Consul General Neil Frank R. Ferrer met recently with Zipline, Inc. executives Liam O’ Connor, COO and Harrison Wolf, head of Global Aviation Policy, at the company’s testing site in Esparto, CA. 

A California-based automated logistics company that designs, manufactures, and operates drones to deliver vital medical products, Zipline, Inc. is both a service provider and an implementation partner in creating an optimized on-demand delivery system.

The Consulate discussed with Zipline, Inc. the applicability of the latter’s technology in the Philippines and its possible uses, especially in the areas of health care, retail and e-commerce, defense and disaster response.

Consul General Ferrer was accompanied during the meeting by DCG Raquel R. Solano, Trade Representative Celynne Layug, and Trade Assistant Rosalie Say. Mr. Juha Turalba, the Philippines’ point of contact (POC) for Zipline, was also present during the meeting. –END
