PH CONSULATE IN SF EXPLORES OPPORTUNITIES FOR COOPERATION WITH THE FILIPINO COMMUNITY OF SANTA CLARA COUNTY, AND OWNERS OF KAPAMPANGAN RESTAURANT “ISLA”

The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, represented by Consul General Neil Frank Ferrer and Consul Rowena Pangilinan-Daquipil, met with the officers, Mr. HasZell L. Corpuz, President, and Ms. Dory Guevara, Vice President, of the Filipino Community of Santa Clara and the Filipino owners of “Isla” on 27 February 2024.

The Filipino Community of Santa Clara, a 91-year old Filipino organization, invited the Philippine Consulate to a luncheon meeting to discuss possible areas of collaboration. Led by Mr. HasZell L. Corpuz, the organization aims to enhance its activities, particularly in reaching out to the younger Fil-Am generation in California.

Meanwhile, owners of “Isla” Restaurant, Mr. Mel and Ms. Angel Pare, proudly shared news of their upcoming new branch, making up their third restaurant in the Bay Area.
