PH CONSULATE IN SF BRINGS CONSULAR OUTREACH PROGRAM TO SALINAS, CALIFORNIA, DELIVERS 264 SERVICES

SALINAS, CALIFORNIA, USA – A 14-member team from the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco conducted a consular outreach at the Filipino Community of Salinas Valley Inc. Community Center in Salinas, California on 7 September 2024.

The consular outreach was organized in cooperation with the Filipino Community of Salinas Valley, Inc, which offered the free use of its facilities. 

Consul Rowena Pangilinan-Daquipil and Vice Consul Hannah Eloisse Go led the provision of passport, dual citizenship, overseas voting registration, and emergency notarial services to Filipinos in Salinas, the most populous city in Monterey County, and located south of the San Francisco Bay Area. In total, 264 services were rendered during the day-long outreach.

Consular applicants were briefed about the programs and activities of the Philippine Consulate including the ongoing Overseas Voting registration which is set to conclude on 30 September 2024 and the monthly Free Legal Aid Clinic conducted in partnership with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines – California Chapter, among others. Consul Rowena Pangilinan-Daquipil leads oath taking of dual citizenship applicants. Before the official oath-taking ceremonies, applicants were briefed on the civil, economic and political privileges that dual citizens can enjoy, including online services such as PSA Serbillis, e-Apostille and online voting in 2025.
