PH CONSULATE IN SF AND VISITING DAGUPAN CITY OFFICIALS EXPLORE OPPORTUNITIES FOR DAGUPAN-MILPITAS SISTER CITY TIES
The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, represented by Deputy Consul General Raquel Solano and Vice Consul Adrian Baccay, welcomed Dagupan City Mayor Belen Fernandez and her delegation during the latter’s call at Sentro Rizal of the Philippine Center on 24 November 2023.
During the call, PH Consulate and Dagupan City officials discussed the sister city relations between Dagupan and the Bay Area city of Milpitas, California, and explored ways to strengthen existing ties between the two cities. The Mayor also took pride in Dagupan being the Philippines’ “Bangus (Milkfish) Capital,” and expressed interest in exporting bangus to the United States.
Following the call, teenage leaders under the city’s “Manlingkor Ya Kalangweran” youth leadership program serenaded Consulate officials with a song of gratitude in Pangasinense language. (San Francisco PCG photos)
