PH CONSULATE IN SAN FRANCISCO JOINS YES SF ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA — The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco represented by Consul Rowena R. Pangilinan-Daquipil and Economic Assistant Danica Vismonte joined local leaders, innovators, and community partners at the Yes SF Anniversary Gathering, hosted by the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, to mark the one-year anniversary of the Yes SF Headquarters in San Francisco on 16 October 2025.
Yes SF is a community-driven initiative focused on economic development, finding solutions for San Francisco, and fostering collaboration between public and private sectors. It underscores the importance of community and shared vision for a positive future for San Francisco.
Located inside Red Bay Coffee at 220 Montgomery Street, the Yes SF Headquarters has become a vibrant hub for sustainable innovation, hosting over 145 events since its opening in September 2024. The space has fostered collaboration among entrepreneurs, businesses, and community members, contributing to the revitalization of downtown San Francisco.
Mr. Rodney Fong, President and CEO of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, emphasized the initiative’s role in supporting sustainable innovation and community engagement. He noted, “Yes SF is about saying ‘yes’ to a more sustainable and revitalized future for our city.”
Ms. Hydra Mendoza, VP, Chief of Strategic Relationships in the Office of the Chair and CEO, Salesforce, and a Filipino American leader and advocate for equity, innovation, and civic engagement, delivered remarks highlighting the importance of diversity, collaboration, and inclusive leadership in shaping a sustainable future.
The event also featured a brief address from Mr. Jeff Merritt of the World Economic Forum underscoring San Francisco’s growing role as a global hub for artificial intelligence (AI) and innovation. The celebration concluded with a toast to the innovators and community partners driving San Francisco forward. END
