PH CONSULATE IN SAN FRANCISCO AND ASIAN PACIFIC ISLANDER LEGAL OUTREACH (APILO) EXPLORE INITIATIVES TO AID IMMIGRANT AND AT-RISK FILIPINOS
The Philippine Consulate in San Francisco, led by Consul General Neil Frank Ferrer, met with Atty. Greg Paulo N. Palomares, Supervising Attorney of Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach (API Legal Outreach), to explore areas of collaboration. API Legal Outreach provides legal aid and advocacy for victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, elder abuse, and individuals with disabilities, as well as tenant rights and immigration relief services. The meeting highlighted possible joint initiatives, including legal clinics, know-your-rights workshops, and outreach programs to empower at-risk Filipinos in the Bay Area. Through this partnership, the Consulate aims to enhance its support for the community and strengthen access to legal assistance and social services.
