PH CONSULATE GENERAL IN SF HOLDS PRE-DEPARTURE BRIEFING AND RECEPTION FOR 2023 VERY IMPORTANT PINOY (VIP) TOUR PARTICIPANTS
SAN FRANCISCO, 21 June 2023 – The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco organized an in-person reception to send off participants of the 2023 Very Important Pinoy (VIP) Tour within its consular jurisdiction and conducted a virtual pre-departure briefing for participants in other US FSPs, on 20 and 21 June 2023, respectively.
The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, serves as this year’s lead coordinator of the VIP Tour, which will be participated in by close to 300 participants who will travel to Manila, Iloilo and Boracay.
Scheduled on 16-24 July 2023, the VIP Tour promises an unforgettable experience in the Philippines, showcasing its rich culture, breathtaking landscapes, and the warm hospitality of Filipinos.
Consul General Neil Frank R. Ferrer welcomed the participants in both events, and thanked the participants for their enthusiasm in joining the highly anticipated VIP Tour.
“I hope that we will all enjoy our time in the Philippines and we will all be able to help promote tourism in the country by spreading word about what the country has to offer,” said Consul General Ferrer in his welcome remarks.
Tourism Director Soleil Tropicales, Mr. Jose Clemente III (President of Rajah Tours Philippines), Mr. Michael Charles Kipping (Director of Sales of Rajah Tours Philippines), and Ms. Delia Merano (PAL San Francisco Area Manager, representing one of the airline partners), were present to address the participants’ questions about the Tour.
The virtual briefing also included the participation of Consul General Emil Fernandez from the Philippine Consulate in Honolulu, Consul General Senen Mangalile from the Philippine Consulate in New York, Deputy Consul General Maria Alnee Gamble from the Philippine Consulate in Los Angeles, Consul Melvin Almonguera from the Philippine Consulate in Chicago, Assistant Director Mylhyn Acosta from the Department of Foreign Affairs’ Office of American Affairs, and Ms. Helen Grace Cuisia from the Philippine Consulate in Agana.
