PH Consulate General Conducts Consular Outreach Mission in Anchorage and Fairbanks, Alaska

PH CONSULATE GENERAL CONDUCTS CONSULAR OUTREACH MISSION IN ANCHORAGE AND FAIRBANKS, ALASKA

The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco conducted a consular outreach mission in Anchorage, Alaska from 25 to 26 October 2025 at the Sheraton Anchorage Hotel, and on 28 October 2025 in Fairbanks, Alaska at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, providing over 300 passport, dual citizenship services, and civil registry services to Filipinos and Filipino Americans in Alaska. 

The Migrant Workers Office-Washington D.C. and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration-Washington D.C., led by Labor Attaché Saul De Vries, Welfare Officer Mae Codilla, and Administrative/Technical Staff Freya Palad, joined the consular outreach mission on 25 October 2025 in Anchorage to extend the following services:

  • Employment Contract Verification
  • OWWA Membership Enrolment/Renewal
  • Welfare assistance/welfare-related consultation
  • Orientation on MWO and OWWA programs and services

Members of the Filipino Community of Anchorage, Alaska, Inc. (FCAA), Alaska Federation of Filipino Americans (AFFA), Mabuhay Lions Club, and the Alaska Consular Outreach Mission generously dedicated their time and effort to assist in managing the crowd, verifying confirmed appointments, conducting preliminary evaluations of documentary requirements, and facilitating the scheduling of walk-in applicants during the two-day consular outreach mission in Anchorage. Meanwhile, the Filipino American Society of Fairbanks extended its full support to the Consulate, helping ensure the smooth conduct of the consular mission in Fairbanks and serve the Filipino American community. Honorary Consul Evelyn Abello likewise assisted the Consulate team throughout the mission in both Anchorage and Fairbanks.

Consulate personnel assured the Filipino American community in Alaska of their continued commitment to bringing essential consular services closer to the community and addressing its needs effectively.END
