PH CONSULATE CONGRATULATES PARTICIPANTS OF THE 12TH UPAASF CULTURAL IMMERSION SUMMER CAMP

DUBLIN, CALIFORNIA – The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco attended the graduation ceremony of the 12th UPAASF Cultural Immersion Camp on 18 July 2025 at St. Raymond Church in Dublin, California.

Deputy Consul General Maria Paz Cortes extended her warm congratulations to the graduates of the summer camp program and commended their enthusiasm in learning more about their Filipino culture, values, and heritage.

Deputy Consul General Cortes commended the efforts of UPAASF which demonstrated their deep love for Philippine culture and heritage by creating platforms, such as the cultural immersion summer camp, to instill to young minds the sense of pride of being a Filipino. She expressed deep appreciation to the parents for continuing to nurture and deepen their connection to their Filipino roots and in keeping our culture alive across generations.

UPAASF President Letty Quizon also thanked the teachers and facilitators who were instrumental in organizing the various activities during the summer camp and for helping raise a generation of Filipinos who are proud of their identity and heritage.

Under the curriculum of the 12th UPAASF’s Cultural Immersion Camp held from 14-18 July 2025, participants learned about Philippine history, language, traditional songs and dance, poetry, folklore, and community leadership, among others.
