PH CONSULATE CONGRATULATES PAMET-USA NORTHERN CALIFORNIA CHAPTER ON THEIR 37TH FOUNDING ANNIVERSARY AND INDUCTION OF NEW OFFICERS

COLMA, CALIFORNIA – The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, represented by Deputy Consul General Maria Paz G. Cortes and Cultural Officer Anne Maris Estoya, graced the 37th Founding Anniversary and Induction of Officers of the Philippine Association of Medical Technologists USA – Northern California Chapter (PAMET-USA NorCal) in Colma, California on 19 July 2025.
In her keynote speech, Deputy Consul General Cortes commended PAMET-USA NorCal’s laudable efforts which include the conduct of medical missions in the Philippines, regular continuing education programs, review classes for medical technologists, and training sessions for health professionals, as well as their advocacy for fair and proper representation of medical laboratory practitioners within the community. She also mentioned the importance of the organization’s conduct of post-arrival orientation seminars (PAOS) for newly-arrived medical technologists, which it organizes in collaboration with the Migrant Worker’s Office in LA.
The Consulate representatives also congratulated PAMET-USA NorCal’s outgoing President Gina Ramirez as she was recently elected and is now serving as PAMET-USA’s national President. Before the end of the program, they also discussed possible ways to collaborate and partner for activities that will benefit newly arrived medical technologists and the Bay Area Filipino community in general.
