PH Consul General Joins 20th Year of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in San Francisco

PH CONSUL GENERAL JOINS 20TH YEAR OF ASIAN AMERICAN AND PACIFIC ISLANDER HERITAGE MONTH IN SAN FRANCISCO

Philippine Consul General Neil Ferrer joined other Asian consuls general in witnessing the signing of a proclamation by Mayor London Breed, declaring May as Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month in the City and County of San Francisco. The signing took place at the historic Herbst Theater on 1 May 2024, during the kick-off of the 20th annual AAPI Heritage Month celebration in the city.

The Filipino American Community in San Francisco was also represented by Celebration Co-chair Al Perez, and cultural group Parangal Dance Company.

The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco encourages everyone to participate in AAPI Heritage Month celebrations across the United States, and get involved in efforts that will move Filipino Americans and AAPIs forward together.
