PCG San Francisco Welcomes Donation of Books for its Sentro Rizal Library

San Francisco California – The Philippine Consulate warmly received the book donation by Ms. Mona Lisa Yuchengco, Publisher of Positively Filipino, and Mr. Jack Simke during their call held at the Sentro Rizal, Philippine Center on 3 March 2026.
The books donated, which will be added to the growing collection of the Sentro Rizal Library, cover a diverse range of topics, including Philippine politics, history, finance, as well as Filipiniana publications.
Deputy Consul General Maria Paz Cortes expressed appreciation for the generous donation, noting that such contributions help further enrich the library’s resources and support its mission of promoting Philippine heritage and scholarship. The Sentro Rizal Library is open to the general public who wish to learn more about the Philippines and its rich history and culture. Sentro Rizal San Francisco is the hub for Philippine culture, history and the arts in the San Francisco Bay Area and other states under the Consulate’s jurisdiction. It is part of a network of more than 30 Philippine cultural centers worldwide, which were established by the 2009 National Cultural Heritage Act (Republic Act No. 10066) for the “promotion of Philippine arts, culture and language throughout the world.”END
