Patio Filipino Celebrates 20 Years of Filipino-Spanish Culinary Heritage

SAN BRUNO, CALIFORNIA — The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco joined the Filipino-American community in celebrating the 20th anniversary of Patio Filipino, a well-loved Filipino-Spanish fusion restaurant located in San Bruno, California.

To commemorate this milestone, Patio Filipino hosted a special anniversary event held on 26 June 2025 attended by longtime patrons, community leaders, and members of the Filipino-American community. 

Representing Consul General Neil Frank R. Ferrer, Consul Rowena R. Pangilinan-Daquipil and Cultural Officer Glaiza Quarteros attended the anniversary celebration, to recognize and honor Patio Filipino’s contributions to promoting Filipino culinary heritage and culture in the Bay Area.

Patio Filipino, the iconic Filipino-Spanish fusion restaurant in San Bruno, celebrated its 20th anniversary this month, marking two decades of culinary excellence, community service, and cultural pride. Known for its flavorful blend of traditional Filipino dishes and Spanish-inspired cuisine, Patio Filipino has become a beloved dining destination in the Bay Area.

Owned and operated by couple Tito and Tess Gonzales, the restaurant is renowned for its warm hospitality and garden-inspired atmosphere, complete with an inviting outdoor patio that has hosted countless family gatherings, celebrations, and cultural events since opening its doors in 2005.
