New Art Installations at San Francisco’s Children’s Creativity Museum Feature Fil-Am Changemakers and Leaders

NEW ART INSTALLATIONS AT SAN FRANCISCO’S CHILDREN’S CREATIVITY MUSEUM FEATURE FIL-AM CHANGEMAKERS AND LEADERS

The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, represented by Consul Jed Llona, joined the unveiling of the newest art installations at the Children’s Creativity Museum in San Francisco, under the “Reclaiming Our Space (ROSe)” Program of the South of Market Community Action Network (SOMCAN), on 12 July 2024.

In his remarks, Consul Llona said that the mixed media installations by Wilfred Galila and Ramon Bonifacio “adds to the Filipino cultural markers that are changing the landscape of the SOMA Pilipinas Filipino Cultural Heritage District.”

The latest ROSe project entitled “Kahayágan,” honors Filipino changemakers and leaders who have manifested progress and change through their invaluable work and contributions to the Filipino Community in San Francisco. The featured honorees include: Alexis David, Andrea Almario, Arlene Daus-Magbual, Bernadette Herrera, Christopher Cara, Conrad Benedicto, Evangeline Naredo, Gayle Romasanta, Glesaree Valdez, Helen Serafino-Agar, Herna Cruz-Louie, Joyce Juan-Manalo, Kali Diwa Lebon Ildefonzo Redondiez, Kevin Nadal, Maria Luz Torre, Maya Masagca, Necolasa Tuthill-Delute, Rico Reimedio, Rogelio “Roger” Gadiano, Ruby Turalba, Teresa Dulalas, Tim Figueras, and Tina Alejo.
